Suomenlinna is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It's important for us to take care of the environment and make sure our guests enjoy their time—both at the harbor bistro Valimo and the Suomenlinna guest harbor.

Good Travel seal

Valimo has been awarded the Good Travel Seal – an international sustainability certification!

The Good Travel Seal is specifically designed for companies and organizations in the tourism and service industries. Its goal is to promote sustainable development and responsibility in tourism by evaluating and certifying companies based on a wide range of sustainability criteria.

We are also pleased to announce that we are well on our way to achieving the Sustainable Travel Finland certification.

Guest harbour of the year 2024

Suomenlinna Guest Harbour has been chosen as the Guest Harbour of the Year 2024.

This customer-voted recognition is a great honor, and we are especially proud to have received praise for the restaurant’s delicious food, the friendliness of our dock staff, and the unique atmosphere of Suomenlinna.

Roope harbour 2025

Suomenlinna Guest harbour is now a Roope harbour. Here, we value a clean and litter-free natural environment and are committed to operating without placing unnecessary strain on the surrounding waters. As a visitor, you will surely appreciate that our harbour is clean, safe, and pleasant. Let’s work together to keep the archipelago clean and take care of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Roope Harbour is an environmentally friendly harbour. The Roope Harbour Programme is a unique environmental initiative developed by Pidä Saaristo Siistinä ry for Finnish marinas. The programme is built on the association’s decades of experience in cooperation with harbours across Finland.
